Profile
At New Hope, our church family is diverse— age, background, and life stage. Whether you are young, old, or anywhere in between, you will feel right at home here. We believe that what matters most is you, not what you wear. While business-casual is common, you will find everything from jeans to suits. Expect a warm, friendly atmosphere where people are eager to connect. Do not be surprised if someone greets you with a handshake or a hug! However, if that is not your style, no worries—we respect your comfort and will never take offense. Come as you are— we look forward to welcoming you!
Sunday School
At New Hope our Sunday School provides a meaningful and engaging hour of Bible teaching every Sunday at 9:30 AM. This time is dedicated to learning God’s Word, applying its truths to our lives, and growing together in faith. We offer a welcoming environment where people of all ages can experience the power of Scripture and connect with others in the process.
Our classes are designed to meet the needs of individuals and families, with age-appropriate lessons that foster understanding and spiritual growth. Children, youth, and adults all gather in separate classes tailored to their needs, with a focus on building a foundation of biblical knowledge and Christian values.
For families, we offer *
nursery care for the youngest ones, as well as *
children and youth classes, so parents can attend the adult class with peace of mind, knowing their children are receiving age-specific instruction. However, we understand that every family is different, and your children are always welcome to stay with you during the service if that is your preference.
Through a combination of Bible study, discussion, and fellowship, our Sunday School aims to provide a supportive environment where everyone can grow spiritually and feel connected to a community of believers.
We invite you to join us each week as we seek to learn more about God and His Word, and as we support one another in living out our faith.
Body of Service
At New Hope, our worship service officially begins every Sunday at 10:30 AM. We start by coming together as a church family to lift our voices in praise through a few songs. This time of worship helps set the tone for our service and prepares our hearts for the message. Following the singing, we enter a time of prayer—offering prayers of praise, confession, and thanksgiving to God, acknowledging His greatness and our need for His grace.
Next, we will have a Scripture reading, where we reflect on God’s Word and prepare our hearts to hear the sermon. You will find that we place a high priority and strong emphasis on the Bible throughout our service. Every part of our worship is centered around God’s Word, as we believe it is essential for growth in our faith.
Our service also includes the opportunity to give back to God through tithes and offerings. We believe in giving as an act of worship, and it is a way for us to support the ministry of the church and advance God’s Kingdom. During this portion of the service, we also take time for church announcements. This allows us to share important updates about upcoming events, opportunities to serve, and other announcements that help keep the congregation connected and informed.
For families, we offer *
nursery care for newborns to age 2 during the service, from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. This provides a safe and nurturing environment for our littlest ones while parents enjoy the service.
After the Body of Service, children in grades K-3 are invited to attend *
Children’s Church, where they will receive age-appropriate biblical teaching and have a chance to engage with God’s Word in a fun and interactive environment. Families you are always welcome to keep your children with you in the service if that is your preference.
Music
At New Hope, we believe that music is a powerful tool for worship and a central part of our spiritual life. It is through music that we express our love for God, reflect on His greatness, and come together as a community in unity and praise. Our music is a blend of the timeless hymns that have shaped the faith for generations and the contemporary praise songs that inspire and move us today.
We hold to the belief that both old and new music serve to deepen our connection with God. The doctrinally rich hymns of the past remind us of the foundational truths of our faith, while modern praise songs connect with our hearts and the way we live today. Together, these elements of worship help create a space where all generations can join in praising God.
Each service typically begins with a modern call to worship, led by our worship leader with guitar and supported by keyboard and other instruments. This opening moment sets the tone for a time of joyful, heartfelt worship, where we are reminded of God’s presence and His work in our lives. Music is not just about the songs we sing; it’s about creating an atmosphere where we can glorify God, reflect on His Word, and invite His Spirit to move among us. It’s a way for the congregation to collectively engage in worship, helping us all to focus on God’s greatness and His love for us.
(P.S.- If you are a gifted musician and are looking for a place to use your talents for the Lord, we would love to have you join our worship team! Whether you play an instrument or sing, there is a place for you to serve in our music ministry.)
Sermons
At New Hope, we believe that preaching is a vital part of our worship, and we place a strong emphasis on teaching God’s Word with clarity and conviction. Our sermons are typically expositional, meaning they are grounded in specific passages of Scripture and aim to bring out the true meaning of the text. We believe that understanding the Bible in its proper context allows us to apply its timeless truths to our daily lives.
Our pastor regularly alternates between the Old and New Testaments, offering a rich and well-rounded perspective on God’s Word. This approach ensures that we grow in our understanding of the entire Bible, from the stories of the past to the teachings of Jesus and the apostles.
Above all, our preaching is driven by the Gospel—the good news that through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God has provided a way for sinners to be reconciled to Him. Every sermon points us back to the message of salvation and calls us to live out our faith in light of the Gospel.
We believe that the Word of God is powerful, and it has the ability to transform hearts and lives. As we gather to hear it preached, we are encouraged to reflect deeply on its truths, to apply them in our lives, and to grow in our relationship with God.
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12
Post Sermon
After the sermon, we offer what we call a “time of decision.” This is a sacred moment where we give space for individuals to respond to the Word of God in a personal and meaningful way. During this time, we sing a song to help create a reflective atmosphere, allowing everyone to process the message and reflect on how God may be speaking to their heart.
This time is an opportunity for you to:
- Pray with the pastor: If you would like to share a prayer request or seek guidance, the pastor is available to pray with you.
- Reflect and pray quietly: If you prefer to respond silently, we encourage you to pray and reflect in your seat.
- Come forward to the altar: For those who feel led to take a more public step in their faith, the altar is open for prayer and surrender.
If you have made the decision to trust Christ as your Savior, we celebrate that decision with you! Coming to faith in Jesus is a life-changing moment, and we rejoice with you as you begin this new chapter in your spiritual journey. We also encourage you to share your decision with the pastor, so we can pray with you and help you take the next steps in your walk with Christ.
Our time of decision is not just about making a one-time commitment, but about acknowledging that following Jesus is a daily choice. We believe in the importance of offering time for reflection and response, as it’s a vital part of our spiritual growth.
A typical service concludes by 11:45 AM, allowing space for everyone to reflect, pray, and make decisions as led by the Holy Spirit before leaving to live out what we have learned.
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
Bible Study
Our afternoon Bible study meets every Sunday at 4:00 PM and is primarily geared toward adults who are eager to dive deeper into God’s Word. This study allows us to explore Scripture in a thoughtful and in-depth manner, helping us apply its teachings to our everyday lives. While the format is lecture-driven, it remains informal, encouraging participants to ask questions, share thoughts, and engage in meaningful discussion.
Though the study is primarily for adults, youth are also welcome to attend. We believe this is a valuable opportunity for older teens to engage with the Bible at a deeper level, alongside adults.
Please note that while there are no nursery or children’s services provided during Bible study, we warmly welcome children and families to join the study. It is a great opportunity for all ages to learn together and grow in faith as a church family.
This Bible study is a great way to grow in understanding of God’s Word and connect with others in the church who are on a similar journey of faith. We look forward to learning and growing together in Christ.
